The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. For the third consecutive year, the 2025 GFWC International Day of Service (GFWC IDS), formerly the GFWC National Day of Service, is scheduled on Saturday, September 27, to help end domestic and sexual violence across the United States and internationally.
According to the World Health Organization, it is estimated that between 736 million to 862 million women, aged 15 years or older, have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence. Within the United States, based on research conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 16 million people are affected every year.
